PRESSURE COOKER WARRANTY POLICY

The maxima pressure cooker carry warranty for  5 years from the date of first purchase. During this period, if this product is found to have manufacturing defects, the same will be repaired / replaced subject to the following terms and conditions:

The pressure cooker is to be used only in a domestic environment on domestic stoves.

Warranty will not be applicable if the damage / repair is due to mishandling, negligence or wear and tear.

  • Repair / replacement of parts of cooker under warranty will be covered free of cost subject to the normal wear and tear which is not covered under warranty.

Parts such as vent weight (whistle), vent tube, nuts, safety valve, gasket, plastic handles, handle assembly and handle screws are not covered under this warranty as these are parts that undergo regular wear and tear and require replacement.

For the warranty to be valid, the cooker must be registered on maxima website, by its 4-digit serial numberwithin 15 days from the date of purchase.

The complete cooker for which the complaint has been placed must be returned to maxima or it’s Authorised Service Centre at the user's cost.

  • No free home service will be done and the transportation cost for bringing and taking back the cooker will be in customer’s scope.

Manufacturer’s decision will be final for any complaints

INSTRUCTIONS OF USE 

  • Read all instructions before use.
  • Genuine maxima parts must be always used with this cooker.
  • The cooker should not have been repaired / worked upon / weakened by repair by any unauthorised person.
  • Do not heat the pressure cooker without food / liquids inside it. Dry heating can cause the base to come apart and cause permanent damage to the cooker. Such damage is not covered as part of this warranty.
  • Always check the pressure release devices for clogging before use.
  • After the pressure cooker reaches its operating temperature (when it releases steam for the first time through the whistle mechanism), please reduce the gas to a low flame and let it cook as per the time required
  • Do not use the pressure cooker for anything else apart from its intended use.
  • Before putting the pressure regulating device on the cooker, it should be ensured that the steam starts coming out of the vent pipe of cooker freely.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces on the pressure cooker. Use handles or knobs.
  • Extreme caution must be followed when moving a pressure cooker containing hot liquids.
  • Close supervision is necessary when the pressure cooker is used near children.
  • Do not place the pressure cooker in a heated oven.
  • Food items which tend to foam, froth, and sputter are likely to block the pressure release device. Therefore, while cooking such items, the cooking instructions supplied by the manufacturer shall be strictly followed.
  • When lifting the vent weight, do so with extreme caution as any steam within the cooker when released can cause severe burning.
  • This appliance cooks under pressure. Improper use may result in scalding injury. Make certain it is properly closed before operating.
  • Do not fill the unit over 2/3 full. When cooking foods that expand during cooking such as rice or dried vegetable, do not fill unit over ½ full.
  • Food items that tend to foam, froth and splutter are likely to block the pressure release device. Therefore, while cooking such items the instructions supplied by the manufacturer shall be strictly followed.
  • Always check the pressure release devices for clogging before use.
  • Do not open the pressure cooker until the unit has cooled and internal pressure has been reduced. If the handles of the body and lid are difficult to push apart, this indicates that the cooker is still pressurized. Do not use force to open the cooker. The pressure remaining in the cooker can be dangerous.
  • After the normal cooking pressure has been reached, reduce the heat so that all the liquid inside the cooker which creates the steam, does not evaporate.
  • Ensure that the handles are not loose. If found loose please tighten the same before use.
  • It is recommended to replace fusible safety relief device after one year of everyday use.

CLEANING:

  • Use a chlorine-free kitchen cleanser as chlorine can adversely affect the materials.
  • Rinse the cooker thoroughly after washing and dry thereafter Do not leave food or water in the cooker. Do not leave the cooker lying in water or dirty dishes for long. Chemicals and natural salts in the water and decomposing food can cause pitting of the metal.
  • Do not leave salted foods / liquid in the cooker for more than 6 hours. Never add salt to the cooker when there is no food or liquid in it.
  • Salts, lime, vinegar and other acidic / alkaline substances must be rinsed from the cooker.
  • Do not use steel wool / harsh cleaning pads to clean as they may ruin the finish of the product.

PRODUCT CARE

  • Always store in a cool, dry place.
  • Do not bang spatulas or spoons against the side of the cooker as they may damage the body and cause leakage.
  • The base of the cooker is made in SS304 , and may react to humid environments.
  • Separate the cooker with a cloth or paper when storing to prevent damages to the body and to prevent scratches from friction.
  • lncase of rainbow coloured stains that appear upon heating, cloudiness and/or dullness, clean with a stainless steel cleanser / wipe vinegar or lemon juice on the stain, allow to stand for 5 min. and then clean with a non-abrasive cleansing agent. Thereafter, wash and dry.
  • In case the cooker changes colour (blue to brown) due to dry heating by the user, the cooker's performance will not be hampered and you can continue to use the same. Discolouration of the cooker has no impact on its performance. use the above steps to clean well.

To prevent unnecessary fusing of the safety valve:

  • Check that the vent tube is clear by looking through it. There should be no clogging.
  • Do not fill the cooker more than two-thirds (for liquid or items that froth, no more than half).
  • Do not place the pressure cooker on an industrial burner or stove. Use only a domestic stove (gas, electric, halogen or induction).
  • Make sure there is enough water in the pressure cooker.
  • Reduce the flame from medium to low when the pressure cooker has reached full operating pressure.
  • Take the pressure cooker off the heat source when the cooking time is complete.

Specifically excluded from this warranty are:

  • Any problems arising from misuse, dropping, exposure to extreme temperatures, letting liquids boil dry, allowing flames to come up the sides of the cooker and/or damages due to subjecting the cooker to sudden temperature changes.
  • Minor imperfections and slight colour variations in the metal which is part of normal craftsmanship.
  • The final polish of the product as it will dull with usage.

The final discretion of the applicability of the warranty lies solely with the company. The user agrees to abide with the manufacturer's decision.

Subject to these conditions, Stahl undertakes to repair or replace free of cost any defective part(s) or the whole cooker at our discretion

COOKWARE WARRANTY POLICY

Ifyou have questions write to Maxima Customer care Service at online@samrat.co.in  The cookware to be returned for evaluation must be authorised by Maxima Customer Service department. The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of a returned product will be made by Maxima Customer Service department only.

For this limited warranty to be valid, the complete cookware must be returned to us at our authorised service centre at the user's cost, along with this warranty card duly signed, stamped with the date of purchase as well as its invoice.

Disputes shall be subject to Chennai jurisdiction only.

TERMS OF WARRANTY

All steel parts of the cookware are covered under this warranty for defects in the material and workmanship (manufacturing defects) for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase unless stated otherwise. Regular wear and tear are not a defect and is not covered under this warranty.

Specifically excluded from this limited warranty are:

  • Any problems arising from misuse, dropping, exposure to extreme temperatures, letting liquids boil dry, allowing flames to come up the sides of the cooker and/or damages due to subjecting the cooker to sudden temperature changes
  • Minor imperfections and slight colour variations in the metal which is part of normal craftsmanship
  • The final polish of the product as it will dull with usage
  • Non-stick & ceramic coatings, plastic, rubber and glass parts are not covered under this warranty
  • The cookware must be used in accordance with the usage instructions supplied along with the cookware. Subject to the Terms of Warranty, we will replace or repair the cookware free of cost, at our discretion.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

Never use the cookware without any food or water in it. Doing so may permanently damage the cookware.

  • Cleaning: Use a chlorine-free kitchen cleanser instead of a chlorine-based cleanser, as free chlorine can adversely affect the material.
  • The cookware can be washed in a dishwasher, but this may dull the polish.
  • Rinse the cookware and dry thoroughly after washing.
  • Do not leave food or water in the cookware. Do not leave the cookware lying in water or dirty dishes for long. Chemicals and natural salts in the water and decomposing food can cause pitting of the metal. Never add salt to the pan when there is no food or liquid in it.
  • Salts, lime, vinegar, and other acidic / alkaline substances must be rinsed from the pan as they may cause rusting.
  • Do not use steel wool or harsh cleaning pads on the exterior of the cookware as they can scratch the finish. In case of non-stick and ceramic pans do not use sharp metal utensils on the interior coating. Do not bang spatulas or spoons against the pan as it may damage the pan.
